The Vetrerie di Empoli artefacts combine the perfection of execution with a taste that goes beyond fashion, bringing the border between craftsmanship and art closer. For this reason Vetrerie di Empoli chose the image of a painting by Antonio Ligabue, an artist who experimented with painting, sculpture, drawing, etchings: his works are a hymn to manual skill and creative strength, marked from a deep love for nature and animals. With this image Vetrerie di Empoli ideally wants to allude to the correspondence between craftsmanship, art and nature, an intertwining that is found in the manufacturing and decorative motifs of its glass, to the point of paying homage to fashion and the iconic “animalier” motifs of a collection in in which Ligabue’s animals (the snake, the crocodile) are the protagonists.
