Inspired by the contrast between Shakespeare’s Othello and Desdemona, the Othello Credenza features an intricate, delicate marquetry motif in pale pink ripple sycamore wrapped around the Makassar ebony cabinet’s sides, across the doors and either side of the drawers. 22,000 makassare ebony triangles are inlaid by hand in a starburst pattern, using a scalpel.
