Launched in 1959 by expert ceramicist Aldo Londi, the Rimini Blue series, which has been produced for over sixty years by the Manifattura Bitossi, is but one of Bitossi’s numerous claims to fame and is certainly the best seller. The easily identifiable blue color is practically synonymous with the Bitossi brand, and each piece in the Rimini Blue series bears a decorative texture conceived by Londi through his habit of sitting down at his potter’s wheel carrying a pocket full of nails, wires and screws that he would use to manipulate the clay.
